Over 50 percent of exhibition space already sold
There are still sixteen months until the start of the second THE TIRE COLOGNE, but the new leading trade fair of the international tire and wheel industry is already clearly flexing its muscles and showing strength: upon expiration of the first early booking phase at the end of January, well above 50 percent of the exhibition space of THE TIRE COLOGNE, which takes place from 9 to 12 June 2020 in Cologne, is occupied. And the current registration levels are high not only in terms of numbers, but also in terms of quality. “Many well-known national and international industry players have already firmly committed”, reports Ingo Riedeberger, responsible Director at Koelnmesse. “The very high registration at the present time impressively underlines that THE TIRE COLOGNE has already established itself after only one event as the most important international industry trade fair.” In all, approximately 600 companies and brands from more than 45 countries are once again expected to come to Cologne to showcase their products and services on approximately 80,000 square metres of exhibition space.
More than 130 companies have already confirmed their participation in THE TIRE COLOGNE 2020, including well-known key accounts from all event segments. For example, from the tire and wheel segment, the tire manufacturer companies Aeolus Tyres, BKT, Bridgestone, Cooper Tire, Falken Tire, Goodyear Dunlop, Michelin, Nokian Tyres, Pirelli or Yokohama and the wheel suppliers Alcar, BBS, Borbet or Superior Industries have already booked their spaces early by the end of the first registration period. From the wholesale tire and rim retail trade, the companies GDHS, Gundlach, Heuver, Interpneu and Krieg are already represented, among others. Many registrations have also already been submitted for the services and workshop needs segments, as well as for tire remoulding and tire recycling. In the workshop segment, the providers Haweka Werkstatt-Technik, Rema Tip Top and Schrader, for example, have announced their participation. And in the tire remoulding and recycling segment, Kraiburg, Eldan Recycling and Vipas are some examples.
For the premiere of THE TIRE COLOGNE in May 2017, 543 exhibiting companies and another 70 brands from 40 countries, as well as more than 16,000 trade visitors from 113 nations participated. Around 60 percent of visitors travelled to Cologne from abroad – an outstanding key indicator for a premiere event.
THE TIRE COLOGNE targets tire manufacturers, tire retailers, car service providers, workshop outfitters, recycling, tire remoulders and all companies involved with the tire and car industry. The international industry trade fair is organised by Koelnmesse and the industry sponsor, the German tire retailers and vulcanisation trade association (BRV).
