Vipal Rubber starts a new stage in its history in Argentine lands. The leader in Latin America and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of products for tyre retreading has started manufacturing in its newest manufacturing structure, which is located in Perez, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. The modern plant, which has the latest technology employed by Vipal in all its manufacturing units, had an investment of approximately $ 20 million dollars. Vipal’s first plant outside Brazil, the Perez unit is producing precured treads for tyre retreads, which supply the Argentine and export markets.
With a total space of 15 thousand square meters and a built area of 7.6 thousand square meters, the plant has an installed capacity of one thousand tons of rubber mixture per month, being 600 tons/month destined to the production of procured treads. The Argentine plant also has a distribution centre, with one thousand tons of storage capacity.
According to its International Business Director, Leandro Rigon, the main objective of the company with this investment is to meet a market need, both in Argentina and in other Latin countries. ”The main objective of the factory in Argentina is to improve our capacity to serve the local market, with more efficient logistics, in addition to using the new platform for exports to neighbouring markets with greater synergy.
