Stamford Tyres Africa (Pty) Ltd – proud distributors of Falken Tyres – have teamed up with the Point S group, in a campaign aimed at helping the communities in need. The Share Your Kindness campaign, consisted of using a percentage from the sales on Falken tyres within the Point S stores nationwide, to contribute towards the sponsorship of food hampers and an additional donation of blankets, generated by the Point S group of tyre retailers.

This initiative was born out of concern of the communities being affected by the socio-economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Recipients of the food hampers and blankets were Magda’s Soup Kitchen in Paarl on Thursday 29 July, Westpark Special Needs school in Durban as well as the Laerskool Danie Malan in Pretoria North, on Friday 30 July.

Heading up the Stamford Tyres Africa team is newly appointed general manager, Jose Romero, (effective 21 July). Romero’s passion about developing and growing the business through mentorship, places him in the ideal position to lead Stamford Tyres towards enhancing the organisation’s image and exceeding overall growth objectives.

“I am looking forward to continuing and building on customer relationships over the years to come,” said Romero.

To assist him in meeting these objectives, the company further appointed Sean Forrester as the new regional manager for Johannesburg, in early July. He will be assisting the team of sales representatives from the Johannesburg office covering the greater part of the inland region as well as various areas of the Eastern Cape.

Forrester added that his aim is to support, motivate and assist the sales team to achieve the best performance for the overall benefit of the company.
