by participating at every event of this bi-annual show since it was introduced in 2006 and in March 2016 will be making their sixth consecutive appearance.
SingEx Exhibitions recently spoke with Mr Conson Sia, Managing Director of Stamford’s South African tyre and wheel based subsidiary with headquarters in Cape Town and Mr Larry Lee, Vice President for International Distribution who is based in Singapore.
Stamford Tyres (Africa) Pty Ltd has been a part of the Stamford Tyres Corporation Limited since 1993 and has shown a growing commitment to the South African market. This important commitment has been boosted by their supplier Sumitomo Rubber Industries who recently purchased a tyre plant in Ladysmith, near Johannesburg.
In 2015 Stamford Tyres celebrated 40 years in successful joint partnership with Sumitomo Rubber Industries and Mr Sia says, ” 2016 will see the company embark on the next level of productivity of the Falken brand and the forthcoming show will become the ‘perfect springboard’ to further increase the level of awareness and sales of the Falken PCR and High Performance range in this market which are now being produced in South Africa and available from March onwards. These tyres have been individually manufactured for suitability in the South African sector.”
Stamford Tyres extensive warehousing capabilities in South Africa and Singapore also gives them the advantage of responding to customer’s needs in a swift and efficient manner, as well as stocking a comprehensive and wide range of tyres.
Stamford’s presence at the Tyrexpo Africa shows used to be managed by the Singapore office but for the 2016 show the South African staff will play a significant role which will allow them to take advantage of valuable opportunities including meeting potential customers and finding ways of doing business with existing customers and building a more impressive reputation in the industry. The forthcoming show will act as a valuable meeting platform for Stamford Tyres full management team in South Africa and its regions.
The Stamford Tyres stand will also be promoting its increasingly popular Sumo Firenza brand of tyres which incorporates its ranges from PCR and TBR through to OTR as well as Maxam OTR tyres with this part of the product presentation being handled by the Singapore office. Maxam Tire International has over 50 years experience in the production of specialist OTR tyres designed for different applications and conditions.
Mr Lee says, “We will be looking to further establish a growing ‘footprint’ in this important market for the company and gain additional trading acceptance, contacts and sales. Also apart from the Firenza tyre range we will be showcasing our complete range of SSW alloy wheels which are also experiencing continuous acceptance in this market.”
Stamford Tyres is a premium brand that will continually focus on their core strengths of extending their network and quality products.
