Vipal Rubber has just released the results of two tests carried out on two European highways, which the company claims demonstrate the superiority of the VRT3 tread within the tyre segment for highway freight transportation.

The tests were developed with the fleet companies Civantrans Civantos Prieto, from Cordoba, Spain, and A1 Transport NI, from Belturbet, North Ireland. During the first test, the analysis was made with Vipal’s authorized retreading company Renovados Muralla, from Ávila, in Castilla y León. A Iveco 450 truck was equipped with four drive tyres and drove across the highway network in the metropolitan area and in the province of Cordoba. The performance obtained with the design accounted for 264,445 kilometers, a superior performance in comparison to new tyres from a competitor brand.

The result was completely approved by the fleet companies. “Civantrans Civantos Prieto trusts Vipal to renew its types, counting on the brand’s quality and good performance, safely retreading the tyres”, said Gabriel Civantos Prieto, the fleet’s owner. Civantrans Civantos Prieto develops competitive, safe and efficient waste load transportation regionally, counting on 20 years of experience in the sector and on a modern fleet of vehicles.

On the test conducted with A1 Transport NI, carried out in partnership with the retreading company ECO Tyre, from the Irish city of Creeny, the VRT3 tread was applied to drive tyres of a Scania R440, with a performance of 184,514 kilometers, equally better in performance than the new tyres of another brand in the market.

A1 Transport NI’s fleet maintenance manager, Neil Treacy, commented that his company “recommends retreading tyres with Vipal because of the high quality and good performance of its products“. A1 Transport NI is a leading fleet company in its country, with full time transportation solutions across the United Kingdom and Europe.

The VRT3 tread is ideal for radial tyres and drive axles. It has excellent drive properties in high-power vehicles, with agile responses on dry or wet surfaces and good water flow. Indicated for highway fleet transportation, the design is especially recommended for long-distance travels on paved roads.

“In recent years, we have intensified the tests in fleets, generating very positive results, such as these obtained with Civantrans Civantos Prieto and A1 Transport NI. We can demonstrate not only the quality of our product, but also the retreading benefits for the fleets, expanding this market. This is very important for Vipal and for the industry as a whole”, emphasizes Vipal’s Commercial Manager in Europe, Fabrício Nedeff.

Vipal’s performance evaluations seek to compare similar products, applied in their intended segments and submitted to use in equal conditions, ensuring impartiality in the results obtained. For this to be possible, the tests follow strict standards stipulated by Vipal’s Methodology on Performance Evaluation.
