Falken Tyre Europe’s Motorsport Division has started the 2019 racing season by introducing a new Porsche 911 GT3 R model into their team which will be race alongside the proven BMW M6 GT3 at the Nurburgring track in Germany. The brand now has two elite racing machines from two premium car manufacturers to continue its successful 20 year commitment to European motorsports on the Nordschleife.

This new generation of Porsche 911 GT3 still has a six cylinder boxer engine with 550 hp but even more stylish aerodynamics whilst Falken 300/680R 18 tyres will give even more grip on the front axle with the rear axle is still fitted with 310/710R18 tyres.

Falken Europe were the very first tyre company to test the car towards the end of last year and both the Porsche and BMW are currently being prepared for the new season at the Autodromo International do Algarve track in Portimao, Portugal. The Porsche 911 will make its racing debut on the 23rd March at the VLN Endurance Championship.

Markus Bogner, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Managing Director at Falken Europe says, “We have been successfully working with Porsche for the past eight years and now we are more than confident of being able to build on our previous racing successes with this new model.”
