Forbes magazine has recognised for the first time tyre producer Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. as one of Canada’s top employer in 2019 on the basis of survey conducted by Forbes partner, Statista.
About 8,000 Canadians surveyed working with companies employed with up to 500 people and asked about their preference. The survey placed the Canadian tyre operation as the 16th most preferred out of 300 public and private institutions in the country.
Michelin employs 3,500 people and operates three sites in Nova Scotia with marketing & sales office based in Laval, Quebec. It is also the only company in the automotive and supplier category to rank among the top 100 employers in Canada.
“It’s wonderful to receive this distinction of being one of Canada’s best employers,” said Jeff MacLean, president, Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., “but what’s truly great about this designation is that it’s awarded as a result of direct employee feedback on what it’s like to work at Michelin. That’s what makes this award truly special.”
