As the nation prepares to celebrate National Women’s Day on 9 August, Tiger Wheel & Tyre is preparing its usual month-long festivities for what the company has dubbed “Women’s Month”. Among these celebrations are its annual FREE tyre and road safety workshops for women, which will be hosted at selected stores around the country, from 14:00 to 16:30 on 17 August 2019.

“We’ve put our heads together with several key partners to create a programme that will educate as well as entertain our VIP workshop guests,” said Farishta Singh, Group Marketing Executive of TiAuto Investments. “Some of these partners, which include Discovery Insure, Hankook and Standard Bank UCount Rewards, have made generous contributions to the goodie bags that each lucky guest will receive.”

The workshops begin with tea, coffee, snacks and conversation, then move on to:

  • Basic self-defence, by C.O.B.R.A.
  • Safe driving, by Masterdrive.
  • Getting to know your tyres, by Tiger Wheel & Tyre.
  • The benefits of Vitality Drive membership, plus basic driving tips, by Discovery.
  • Mental wellbeing, by Dr. Saneth Dreyer.
  • Fuel types and tips, by Shell.
  • How to properly install a baby seat, by Born Fabulous.

Finally, the workshops conclude with a fun opportunity for women to get their hands dirty and either learn how to or demonstrate their prowess at changing a tyre.

In addition to leaving with a goodie bag, all participants will have the chance to enter a lucky draw to win a hamper valued at R5000.

H istorically, these workshops fill quickly and feedback from participants typically includes one or more of the words “enlightening,” “educational” and “entertaining”. Women who wish to attend are encouraged to visit the website www.twt.to today to find their nearest location among the 27 stores participating and sign up to secure their seat before the 5th of August 2019.
