Auto fitment specialist, Supa Quick, has opened a new premium franchise branch in Constantia, Cape Town, bringing much-needed economic activity amidst South Africa’s economic recovery.

Led by managing director Joy Oldale, the new branch has created seven full-time jobs, with four more positions projected over the next 12 months. “There was a strong need for a fitment centre in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town,” Oldale says. “Customers living or working in the immediate proximity previously had to commute to Claremont for a fitment Centre. “Supa Quick Constantia Main Road now services these customers, businesses and Government departments, and the world class equipment we have purchased sets us apart from our competitors,” she says.

Oldale has over 20 years’ experience working at the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI), the industry body representing employers in the motor industry. She served in a dual role, as regional manager of the RMI Western Cape and as Transformation Director. “For me, opening a business in the motor industry was a natural progression,” she says. “People in my network are far and wide in the motor industry, insurance sector and Government. “I realised that the Supa Quick brand lends itself to being the absolute best service provider in the auto fitment centre arena. Also, the Bridgestone brand under which Supa Quick trades speaks to the premium market and top tier suppliers,” she adds.

The new branch is a full service Supa Quick, which prides itself as a boutique store, offering the full range of tyres, shocks and brakes. Visitors are welcomed with great coffee, free wi-fi, and a spacious lounge area with a boutique hotel seating arrangement. It has three bay entries from the main road, from which customers drive straight out to the massive, safe parking area in the back. “Even in the most difficult market conditions, we continue to see opportunities to establish a presence that brings much-needed value to more customers,” says Supa Quick brand manager Yolandi Grundeling. “By partnering with highly experienced and knowledgeable professionals in the motor industry, we are confident that the Supa Quick brand will continue to deliver on our passion to bring world class fitment service centres to all South Africans.”
