Michelin, leader in the mobility sector, announces that it has entered into a partnership with Arity , a company founded by the AllState Group, specialising in mobility data. This partnership aims to develop data-driven solutions for infrastructure managers and communities in the United States to improve road safety. It combines the unique data science expertise of MICHELIN Driving Data to Intelligence(DDI) on the analysis of data and driving behavior with Arity’s driving database, the latter, which is fed by a hundred million customer connections, is the largest in the world. This partnership will thus make it possible to harness the potential of data for safer mobility and to transform road management.
Michelin will analyse billions of data points to isolate near-collisions and atypical behaviour caused by or attributed to road infrastructure. The insights thus obtained will facilitate infrastructure decision-making and optimization for federal and municipal infrastructure managers and will enable essential improvements and prioritization of projects within the framework of infrastructure programs, in particular, in favour of safer mobility.
