German based Falken Europe has announced the impending launch of its first tyre to incorporate an integrated tyre sealant technology which instantly seals punctures.
The Falken Coreseal Euro Allseason tyre was initially trialled in Germany and Austria and its overwhelming success has led to the product’s introduction throughout Europe. Coreseal prevents tyre pressure loss by automatically sealing punctures up to five millimetres in the tread surface.
Included in a series of Coreseal features and benefits is a special layer of highly adhesive viscous sealant within the inner ring of the tyre. So that in the event of a puncture the sealant automatically flows into the hole and prevents further loss of air pressure.
Andreas Giese, Senior Manager of Corporate and Product Planning at Falken Tyre Europe says, “Our Coreseal technology represents a significant step forward in making tyres smarter and more efficient by eliminating the need for roadside assistance to change a tyre.” Falken recommend the use of a tyre pressure monitoring system to ensure that any puncture is in accordance with the regulations of a tyre fitment professional.
The Falken Coreseal Allseason tyre will initially be available in sizes 235/55R18 but will be followed in due course by the Euro Allseason AS 210 in size option 225/50R17.
