The Bridgestone Potenza Sport secures joint first place on the podium in the current 2023 summer tyre test by Auto Zeitung.In the dimension 235/35 R19 it convinces with outstanding performance characteristics on a Ford Focus ST and thus takes the top position in the overall standings.The modern ultra-high-performance tyre has again achieved top test results this year, following on from its recent successes in 2022, including test wins in the two British magazines Auto Express and EVO.
With top ratings in the disciplines of braking, handling and driving safety in the wet, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport was able to hold its own against its competitors and take the joint test victory in the Auto Zeitung’s 2023 summer tyre test. The UHP summer tyre in 19 inch also convinced the experts on the test track with its “flawless driving characteristics” and “extremely high grip” in the dry. The outstanding performance of the Potenza Sport is the result of innovative tyre development based on Bridgestone’s many years of experience in racing and partnerships with prestigious vehicle manufacturers. Thus, the UHP tyre has been specially tailored to the needs of demanding drivers and delivers a high level of control and confidence.

Convincing sporting performance
In addition to the outstanding test result in the Auto Zeitung, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport was recently able to prove its qualities in the 2023 sports summer tyre test of Auto Bild sportscars. With the best results in the categories handling in the wet as well as in the dry and circular drive on wet roads, the UHP tyre from Bridgestone secured the prestigious rating “exemplary”. With an overall score of 1.3, it also shows “good balance, precise steering behaviour […] and respectable safety reserves in aquaplaning”, according to the test experts. All in all, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport has already achieved 9 podiums in renown tyre test publications in the last three years since its market launch at the beginning of 2021. Bridgestone Potenza Sport offers best-in-class performance in the dry1 and outstanding control in the wet1 being therefore particularly convincing in safety-relevant disciplines. Also, the premium tyre is engineered to go further for longer, providing a higher mileage than its predecessor, the Potenza S0012.
