GRI – a socially responsible producer of high-grade specialty tyres – has taken a major step forward in its green leadership by launching the EARTH Series of radial agriculture tyres agenda to nurture and protect the environment, through its global introduction of one of the world’s first sustainable tyres for the agriculture segment.
The GREEN XLR EARTH is one of the world’s first sustainable tires for agriculture. Designed with 78.5% sustainable materials, it boasts superior functional properties for high-performance tractors across global markets. This series incorporates multiple unique environmentally friendly attributes, as claimed by the Sri Lankan-based tire maker.
- Recycled Carbon Black: The tire is produced with a high percentage of recycled carbon black, reducing its carbon footprint.
- Soybean Oil: It contains soybean oil, a renewable and sustainable alternative to petroleum-based oils. This preserves natural rubber properties, significantly enhancing the tire’s overall performance.
- Next-Generation HD Silica: This sustainable material further improves tire performance.
- Reclaimed Rubber: Sourced from end-of-life tires through a green recycling process, reclaimed rubber enhances the tire’s sustainability and reduces its carbon footprint.
